From very early age, Thai laypersons have assigned traditional styles and attitudes of Buddha images to each day of the week. One of the images might keep in their house or work place the image assigned to his/her birth day of the week.

The different images and style of Buddha images are from the Buddha's life. Buddha did not encourage people to create his image during his life time; he did allow the wheel of Dhamma law to be created to remind his followers of spreading the virtues of Dhamma. Buddha images assigned to represent each day of the week, and at a temple these images are arranged on a long counter. The sight of a Buddha image brings a sense of peace and also gives hope.
