Bang Pa-In summer palace was constructed in 17th Century on Bang Pain island in the Chao Phraya River. Later King Chulalongkorn built the feature of the present palace.

The palace is very big and it can be divided into tow part, inner and outer. The inner palaces are mostly residence and outer buildings are mostly for official functions.

The buildings are very modernized and well-furnished, and has beautiful gardens all around ther palace. The style of architecture are very various from Greek to Chinese. The most beautiful building would be a building in a small lake which can only reach by a boat.

This palace is quite big so it is recommended to rent a golf cart to drive around. To enter some buildings proper dress is required or you can rent a sarong front of building.
