Susan Hoi in Krabi is also called as shell cemetery or fossil shell. It's around 17 km away from town. It can be shown only at low tide and this giant slabs is over 75 million years old. This area is the graveyard of fossilized freshwater snail shells, and it's one of only three such sites in the world.

This fossil is more than 40 cm thick, resting on 10 cm of lignite below which is the subsoil. However, weather changes and people's visiting without careless is ruining this place, and some of them are broken. It is strictly banned to bring back any pieces of this fossil and you should take off your shoes before get on this fossil. After tide, it is quite hard to see, and the best time is at low tide.
